Amid a shell-shocked American corporate landscape, Silicon Valley and other tech centers around the country continue to make good money. The country's biggest tech companies, Apple (<a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/apple-inc/aapl/nas">AAPL</a>), Google (<a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/google-inc/goog/nas">GOOG</a>), IBM (<a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/international-business-machines-corporation/ibm/nys">IBM</a>), Intel (<a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/intel-corporation/intc/nas">INTC</a>), HP (<a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/hewlett-packard-company/hpq/nys">HPQ</a>), Microsoft (<a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/microsoft-corporation/msft/nas">MSFT</a>), Amazon (<a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/amazon-com-inc/amzn/nas">AMZN</a>) and others, are very profitable -- and they're sitting on billions in cash hoards.
