Ardath Rodale, former chairman and longtime matriarch of the Rodale health-publishing family, which produces the magazines Prevention, Organic Gardening and Men's Health, has died at 81, according to a statement from the company. No cause of death was given.

Publisher Rodale just redrew its org chart, but one person was conspicuously missing. That's Men's Health editor David Zinczenko, who embarrassed the company last week with revelations of a cookie-cutter scheme for producing covers.
