After months of speculation about Publishers Weekly's future, the book industry trade magazine has found a new owner in one of its former publishers: George Slowik, who ran the company between 1984 and 1993.

Reed Business Information said on Monday that it's found a buyer for its magazines Library Journal and School Library Journal, leaving its publishing-industry bible Publishers Weekly endangered. Some observers believe PW could be shut down by the end of May.
