Parent of 'National Enquirer' to File for Bankruptcy

American Media, publisher of National Enquirer, plans to file for bankruptcy protection in the next two weeks, as it seeks to convert its substantial debt to equity shares in the company.

A management overhaul at Conde Nast is meant to help its iconic magazines -- including Vogue, Vanity Fair and The New Yorker -- flourish in this century as they did in the last.
