Feds Open Probe into Whether GM Should Recall Saturn Ion Models

The federal government is investigating whether some 384,000 Saturn Ion compact cars should have been included in a recall earlier this year. The recall was for more than one million General Motors models to repair power steering units that could fail.

GM Recalls 4,000 Cadillac SRXs for Steering Fluid Leak

GM is recalling nearly 4,000 2010 Cadillac SRX crossovers to repair power steering lines that may get damaged and leak fluid, the automaker said Thursday. The problem has resulted in at least one fire, but GM said there have been no crashes or injuries as a result of the defect.

Mazda to Recall Over 500,000 Vehicles Worldwide

Mazda is readying to recall over 500,000 vehicles across the world due to a problem with the power steering. Earlier this week, Mazda said it was recalling more than 300,000 vehicles in North America, including 215, 000 in the United States. Today, Mazda said it was widening the recall to markets including China, Europe and Australia, The Financial Times reported.
