Children's clothing retailer Gymboree (GYMB) has agreed to be acquired by private-equity firm Bain Capital Partners for $1.8 billion in an all-cash deal, the companies said Monday.
Bain's offer values Gymboree stock at $65.40 a share, a 24% premium to Gymboree's closing stock price Friday....

Toys R Us is popping up all over, with Holiday Express Shops now open in 2,500 Babies R Us stores. To celebrate, the retailer is already hosting holiday sales. There will be coupons, gifts with purchases and daily specials through Nov. 25, while supplies last.

After my son lost his second fleece jacket at school, I started searching online for another one. Since he has a little brother who will one day wear his hand-me-downs, I wanted a decent jacket that we could keep for a few years...or until my son loses it again.LL Bean had some nice fleece jackets...
