Omega-3 Fish Oil Supplements Don't Help Alzheimer's Patients

Despite earlier studies that hinted that Omega-3 supplements -- commonly sold as fish oil capsules -- might help slow the progression of Alzheimer's disease, a study published Tuesday in the Journal of the American Medical Association shows absolutely no benefit for most patients.

GlaxoSmithKline's diabetes drug Avandia once again captured headlines Monday morning after two new studies linked it to heart attacks and other cardiovascular complications. The authors of the studies say the results should prompt the FDA to pull the drug from the market.
