If the growing buzz by smartphone manufacturers and tech bloggers is to be believed, we're now just a few weeks away from the iPhone 5. With a $325 early termination fee required to get out of a two-year iPhone contract with AT&T, making the switch to Verizon when it starts selling the iPhone 4 on Feb. 10 can be painful for current iPhone owners. But if iPhone owners act fast -- this week is probably best -- they can sell...

Black Friday may be over but the deals most certainly are not. National retailers continue to roll out promotions and with each week closer to Christmas, the holiday savings are just a little bit sweeter. Best Buy is offering up to $200 off on select TVs, and if you haven't seen the chain's deal...

Two weeks ago, in a post about AT&T's spotty third generation wireless coverage, I posed a simple question: "How about an announcement telling customers how AT&T has been working with Apple to help boost the quality of its iPhone service?" Now, that seems to be exactly what is happening....

The acquisition gives Google the strongest player in the fast-growing market for...

It sure was fitting that Google (GOOG) killed an entire product segment on Oct. 28, just a day before the 80th anniversary of the 1929 stock market crash. And appropriately enough, on Wednesday the tech-heavy NASDAQ tumbled mightily. Contributing to that fall was the pummeling of GPS makers Garmin...

Recently I bought an Apple (AAPL) iMac, and after upgrading the hard drive and opting for a bigger display, I wound up spending more than I had planned. Listening to Apple's earnings call this week, I discovered that many of its customers have had similar experiences buying Apple products. Apple...

I read with some amusement an article published by BusinessWeek highlighting Apple's (AAPL) big plans to become a more green company. Apple CEO Steve Jobs pointed out in that article that his company was releasing more information on its total carbon footprint. That omission had earned Apple...

On his "Mad Money" show on September 16, Jim Cramer went nuts on Apple (AAPL), saying he thinks shares are going to soar after an accounting change lets Apple book the full dollar amount of each iPhone sold upfront. This has been a recurrent theme among Apple bulls lately. Wall Street has a funny...
