Paging Apple's legal department. Sprint announced the first WiMax smart phone Tuesday, the HTC Evo 4G, which runs on Google's Android platform. It's the first phone designed to run on Clearwire's 4G WiMax network. It's also a clear challenge to Apple, which recently sued HTC over Android.
Google has responded to Apple's lawsuit against phone maker HTC with support for the maker of its smartphones. While not yet a target of Apple's litigation, Google is no doubt the intended target in a war that may yet escalate.
On the heels of the debut of the Nexus One handheld,Google is now targeting the business market. The company says that the next version of the Nexus One will probably come with a physical keyboard like the BlackBerry. Research In Motion has reason to be concerned.
