    As the market for electronic book readers has grown, Apple's iPad has been pulling e-reader market share away from Amazon.com's Kindle, according to a new report from ChangeWave Research. The Kindle's market share has slipped to 47% from 62% in three months.

    Amazon announced today that it is dropping the price of its Kindle electronic reader from $259 to $189, effective immediately. We anticipate the price on Kindles for sale at 1,740 Target stores will also drop to $189, although neither Amazon nor Target has returned calls to confirm this yet....

    I'm ambivalent about the Amazon Kindle, but 250,000 people have thought highly enough of it to buy one in the last year.
