Saks Reports Second Quarter Loss of $32.2 Million

Retailer Saks Inc. (SKS) reported a second-quarter net loss of $32.2 million, or 21 cents per diluted share, compared with a net loss of $54.5 million, or 39 cents per share, in the second quarter of 2009. The results for the second quarter of 2010 include after-tax charges of $11.7 million, or 8 cents per share, related to net lease termination costs and $1.1 million of severance and other store closing costs.
