Chrysler Recalls 919,000 Jeep SUVs to Fix Air Bags

Chrysler is recalling more than 919,000 older-model Jeep SUVs worldwide because the air bags can inflate while people are driving them. The recall affects Jeep Grand Cherokees from the 2002 through 2004 model years, and Jeep Libertys from model years 2002 and 2003.

US Investigates Stuck Throttles in Ford Tauruses

Federal safety regulators are investigating complaints that accelerators can stick in Ford Tauruses from model years 2005 and 2006. The investigation, opened Wednesday, covers an estimated 360,000 of the sedans. The probe could lead to a recall, but so far none has been ordered by National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, a federal safety agency.

Total Recall: GM, Phillips and Miss Bonnie's

General Motors has called back thousands of Impala and LaCrosse sedans for potential fire hazards and stability-control systems. Meanwhile, Philips calls back a compact fluorescent light that can cut. And Miss Bonnie's Gourmet warns that its cheese spread could be contaminated with salmonella.
