Tablets, a new digital tollbooth, a traveling e-tailer, a smartphone tie-up, and a would-be titan toppler... Sounds like the plot for a Hollywood action movie -- or, at the very least, the stuff that will dominate high-tech headlines in the coming days. Here's what to watch as the week unfolds.

In deal-speak, a divestiture is when a company unloads a division. In fact, there are a variety approaches. For example, one common method is to sell the division for cash to another company. This happened recently with Zimbra, which Yahoo! (YHOO) sold to VMware (VMW).

Yahoo failed to capitalize on Zimbra's dynamic email and collaboration software, so VMware must be betting it can do better. But moving into this market pits VMware against the likes of Google, IBM, Citrix and of course, Microsoft.
