Disney is appointing two co-presidents of Interactive Media Group to fill the shoes of long-time leader Steve Wadsworth, who resigned last month.
Disney is snapping up social networking games developer Playdom in a deal worth up to $563.2 million, it announced Tuesday. The transaction, will bolster Disney's digital gaming lineup and give it a greater presence on such social networking sites as Facebook and MySpace.
The deal would be a bid by Disney to increase its presence in social network games. Disney could use Playdom to incorporate some of its iconic brands and characters into social network gaming.
