    Nissan and Mitsubishi plan to work together to bring some new vehicles to market. The Japanese automakers will establish a joint venture to produce a minicar for the home market by 2012, while Nissan will produce a small van for Mitsubishi, which in turn will make an SUV for Nissan.

    British Airways (BAIRY) will begin a joint venture next month on flights across the Atlantic with American Airlines (AMR), after nearly 13 years of planning. The carriers will align their frequent-flier programs, allowing travelers to earn and use miles on the two airlines, Bloomberg News said....

    Toyota Motor's recent $50 million investment in electric-car upstart Tesla Motors is already paying dividends. Tesla reportedly will ship two prototypes, based on Toyota's RAV4 sport utility vehicle and Lexus RX crossover, to the Japanese automaker later this month.
