Ericsson Chairman Treschow to Step Down by End of 2012

Michael Treschow, chairman of Ericsson AB (ERIC), will step down by the end of 2012. The company will appoint a successor at one of the next two annual shareholder meetings, Bloomberg News reported. Treschow, 67, took the position in March 2002.

Troubled Phonemaker Sony Ericsson Posts Profit

Sony Ericsson, the "lost" handset company, which has been bleeding market share for the past several years, said its unit sales dropped another 28% in the first quarter, but net income hit $29 million, quite a turnaround from the same quarter last year, when it lost $398 million.
