Veterans with disabilities have a staggering 41% unemployment rate. That's especially true for veterans who return from Iraq and Afghanistan with two signature disabilities: post-traumatic stress disorder and traumatic brain injury, which frequently go undiagnosed.

Among the state systems governing foreclosure, Hawaii has a particularly fraud-riddled, draconian process. Elderly Suzanne Bonds was unbelievably exploited by that process in 2004, but Hawaii's courts refused to help. Now, her attorneys have asked the U.S. Supreme Court to intervene.

Former newspaper mogul Conrad Black will get out of jail on bail as he appeals his conviction for defrauding shareholders based on the now-narrowed "honest services" statute. The bail order comes even though Black was also convicted of an obstruction of justice charge.

In order to enforce net neutrality rules, the FCC is reclassifying Internet service providers into the same regulatory "box" as phone companies. The move gives the FCC the authority to drastically improve broadband competition -- but the FCC has decided it won't use that power.
