Vangent Awarded $4.2 Million Contract From the Department of Defense to Continue Development of the Traumatic Brain Injury/Behavioral Health Clinical Documentation Tool
Vangent to Enhance Functionality of the Military Health System's Clinical Documentation Tool to Support Detection and Treatment of Traumatic Brain Injury and Behavioral Health Issues
ARLINGTON, VA -- (Marketwire) -- 11/11/10 -- Vangent, Inc., a leading global provider of information management and strategic business process solutions, today announced it has been awarded the Traumatic Brain Injury/Behavioral Health (TBI/BH) Phase II Development contract from the Military Health System. The program is managed out of the MHS' Defense Health Information Management System (DHIMS) program office in support of the Department of Defense (DoD)/Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) overarching response to President Obama's Commission on Care for America's Returning Wounded Warriors.
Vangent was awarded Phase I of the contract in September 2008. During Phase I, Vangent successfully developed the TBI/BH Clinical Documentation Tool which provides the capability for creating and securely storing psychological assessments, behavioral health encounters as well as sensitive information. Under this new task, Vangent will provide both functional and technical enhancements to the TBI/BH Clinical Documental Tool to facilitate and improve clinical workflows.
