Software Company Anahata Chooses Docmosis For Document Generation
Perth, West Australia (PRWEB) March 23, 2013
On Friday 1 March, Pablo Rodriguez, founder and co-director of the Perth (Western Australia) based software company announced the company will be defaulting to Docmosis for Document Generation in Enterprise Application Projects.
The company, which specialises in cross platform Enterprise Application Development using Java / Java EE technologies has worked with a number of template based document generation tools such as Docmosis, ActiveDocs and low level document generation such as Apache POI.
Pablo Rodriguez explain the reasons for the choice : “I worked with Docmosis during a project at the Department of Commerce, here in Perth, WA and I found it to be a great library for a number of reasons. Looking at the licensing costs, we find it to be the perfect fit for medium sized business requiring template based document generation.”
- Platform independent as it is Java / Java EE
- A easy to learn document generation API
- A variety of ways of passing data to populate the template such as Maps and Java POJOs
- A document metadata introspection API which allows to explore the tags of a template including repetitive sections, this in turns allows an application to validate a data model against the template metadata.
- Great document generation performance
- Commercial Document Editor independence - Users can write templates using LibreOffice Write saving users the necessity to purchase a Microsoft office license
Following the technical reasons for the choice, the director highlighting the the licensing model: “Docmosis License for unlimited on site usage start at $500 U.S. for a single server. We find this to be affordable even to small / medium business.”
Finally, Pablo Rodriguez spoke about docmosis support. The team behind Docmosis is very friendly and helpful, their response time is good and they are very approachable in every sense of the word. I met Docmosis Product Manager Paul Jowett a few years ago at their Perth office while seeking advice for a project requiring document generation and I was pleasantly surprised by Paul’s friendliness and willingness to help. Docmosis ticks all the boxes.
