GGE Announces Results of Annual Shareholder Meeting

Guggenheim Enhanced Equity Strategy Fund (the “Fund”)(NYSE: GGE) announces the results of the annual meeting of shareholders of the Fund, which reconvened on September 8, 2011. The proposal to approve a new investment sub-advisory agreement among the Fund, Guggenheim Funds Investment Advisors, LLC, and Guggenheim Partners Asset Management, LLC, was approved by shareholders. In addition, the Board’s nominee for election as a Class I Trustee, Mr. Randall C. Barnes, was elected to serve as a Class I Trustee until the Fund’s 2014 annual meeting of shareholders or until his respective successor shall have been elected and qualified.
