Affinion International Selected By Telefonica To Extend Loyalty Programs

MADRID, Feb. 28, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Affinion International, the global leader in enabling companies to connect and engage with their customers, thereby creating rewarding relationships and enhancing brand loyalty, today announced that the company has been selected to provide brand-building programs to customers of Telefonica, one of the largest telecommunications providers in the world, and among the largest companies in Spain. Affinion International launched its operations in Spain in 2009 and currently provides services across a 16 country footprint, with a presence throughout Europe as well as Latin America and South Africa.
Under the terms of the multi-year agreement, Affinion International will create and market multiple programs on behalf of Telefonica. Affinion International will rely on its extensive experience in building products and services that are relevant to Telefonica's customers.
The agreement is expected to result in the creation of hundreds of jobs in support of these programs, with many of those new jobs located in Spain.

The agreement with Telefonica will also be crucial in supporting Affinion International's brand in the Spanish market, which has been identified as one of the most important emerging markets for the Company.
