Post-Post-Christmas: The Best Deals This Weekend
-

Costco offers a bunch of online-only deals that last through Jan. 27. The list includes big discounts on washer/dryers, fitness equipment, furniture and $10 off select TurboTax software.

Redbox is rolling out the beta test of Redbox Instant, a new streaming service meant to compete with Netflix, and it's willing to offer a free one-month trial to get you on board. Note that you'll have to hand over a working credit card at the outset, which will be charged at the end of the trial if you don't cancel first. The normal monthly subscription cost is $8, and you get unlimited monthly streaming and four free (one-night) DVD rentals per month. Note that it's invite-only, so you'll need to put in your email address and then wait for an invite.

-

OfficeMax offers 20% off "everything" in its store when you download the in-store coupon from the website. That's what the subject line said, anyway. Once I opened the email, I found a big asterisk and a block of fine print longer than the Gettysburg Address. Excluded from the deal are pretty much all electronic items and document-printing services, so don't walk in there hoping to get a camcorder or e-reader cheap. You can get the discount online by using the code SAVE20. The deal is good through Saturday, Jan. 5.

Sierra Trading Post offers 35% when you use the coupon code EB010113A on its website. (Thanks you, Slickdeals, for this tip). Some exclusions may apply -- apparently it doesn't work on clearance items -- and you'll have to pay for shipping.
