While Nordstrom has yet to find a suitable location in New York City, online shoppers can now get any item delivered for free. On Monday, Nordstrom announced it will offer free shipping and returns for all U.S. orders -- making it the first department store chain to do so.

Dell will highlight a handful of tech company results this week. Also reporting earnings will be food giants Smucker and Campbell Soup, also Marriott and other members of the lodging and hospitality industry, and the first of a long string of results from retailers.
Some of the nation's biggest department stores, including Bloomingdale's, Nordstrom, Sears and Walmart have been selling lead-tainted jewelry, and others are offering contaminated toys, including the Hello Kitty brand, a health advocacy group reports.

Amazon.com, Kohl's and Nordstrom rank among the top 10 companies for customer service, according to a shopper survey released by the National Retail Federation on Tuesday. Online electronics retailer Newegg made the list this year, while Coldwater Creek and HSN fell off.
