Can Jeans from 1969 Boost Gap's Sales Today?

In an attempt to turn around flagging sales, Gap has launched a new brand devoted to jeans from 1969, the year the company was founded. But can retro styles alone bring back its old popularity?
At American Rag Cie, you no longer need to twist and contort yourself to see if those jeans make your butt look big. The chain's self-dubbed "ass cam" allows shoppers to check out their denim-wrapped rears on monitors embedded in the changing room mirror. And the customers love it.
Cotton prices jumped to a record high on Friday on strong Chinese demand and the prospect of reduced supply.
In New York, ICE December cotton futures touched 119.80 cents a pound, the highest price since 1995, The Financial Times reported.
