Get a free reusable bag from Target in celebration of Earth Day. The free reusable bag giveaway is on April 17, 2011. Last year supplies ran out very quickly, so make sure to get there early to be one of the million people who receive a free reusable bag from Target.

Hammer another nail in the coffin of mom and pop shops. Walmart is moving ahead with a plan to open hundreds of small format stores, while Target is readying a modified version of its own big box.
Someday soon, most neighborhoods will be served by different kinds of Walmart stores in a variety of...
Target to Open First Canadian Stores in 2013
5:05PM 1/13/2011

Target will open its first stores in Canada in 2013, the second-largest discount retailer in the U.S. announced in a statement Thursday. The company agreed to pay $1.84 billion to acquire the leasehold interests for as many as 220 sites operated by Hudson's Bay Co.'s Zellers stores.
Young People's Favorite Brands: M&Ms, Google, Reese's
7:30PM 12/09/2010
Google , Apple, Target Corp, Nintendo, Retail

1:00AM 11/30/2010

It looks like online retailers had a good Cyber Monday: Early estimates indicate sales could have surpassed last year's numbers by 12.7% or more. But unlike Black Friday, Cyber Monday rarely has been the most important shopping day of the year for e-tailers.
The trend of megastores going small is picking up steam. Walmart is actively looking at urban markets for growth, Home Depot developed its "lite" urban store in the 1990s, and now Target is getting into the game with plans to open a small store in Seattle 2012.
That is if 103,000 sq. ft. is...
Activists Take Aim at Target for Political Contribution
9:30PM 8/03/2010

Target made itself, well, a target for a gay-rights boycott when it made a $150,000 contribution to a pro-business political group. It turns out the group supports a gubernatorial candidate who once attended a fundraiser for a virulently anti-gay nonprofit. Accusations of homophobia are a hard blow for the brand, which has previously enjoyed a gay-friendly reputation.
It's a rare day that Target is the object of consumer scorn, but that day has come. The retailer is under fire for donating money to a political action committee that supports a conservative politician opposed to gay marriage. It's quite a tangled web and Target is now facing a boycott as gay...
Sears turns to renting out real estate to make a few bucks
2:00PM 4/26/2010
It's sad to watch the demise of Sears and Kmart. The stores near me have empty parking lots, nothing to sell and no customers.
Last week, Sears Holdings Corp. opened its own commercial real estate business under the name SHCRealty.com to sell or lease its thousands of both vacant and operating...
