Two months after one of the trendiest names in children's products recalled 1 million strollers after reports of youngsters' fingers being lopped off, another 1.5 million strollers are being recalled for a similar reason.

Graco Children's Products is recalling certain models of its Passage, Alano and Spree strollers and travel systems after five children had their fingertips cut off when the stroller's canopy was being opened or closed, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said. Two others suffered cuts.

Those who have the strollers are asked to stop using them until they receive a repair kit from Graco.

"This is now the second major recall of a stroller due to fingertip amputation or laceration hazards," CPSC spokesman Scott Wolfson told WalletPop. "The agency is taking a broader look at this issue to ensure that young children are completely safe in and around all strollers."

In November, Maclaren recalled its strollers after reports of fingertip amputations in the hinges involved in the opening and closing of the strollers.

Not all Passage, Alano and Spree units are subject to the recall. To determine if you have one of the affected strollers, visit Graco's site. Two different types of hinge were used on these strollers. Only those with a plastic, jointed hinge with indented canopy positioning notches are subject to this recall.

The recalled strollers were made in China between October 2004 and February 2008. Both the model number and the date of manufacture can be found on the inside lower part of the frame above the rear wheels.

Major retailers sold the strollers for $80-$90; the travel system sold for $150-$200.
