If you've got a Black & Decker 8-cup Thermal Coffeemaker, check the model number -- your coffee could get a bit too hot.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Applica Consumer Products -- which manufactures Black & Decker's household products -- is recalling nearly 10,000 coffeemakers because they can get so hot the machine can melt and burn users.

Unlike many recalls in which a repair or a replacement part is offered, consumers are being told to stop using these Chinese-made coffee makers immediately.

The programmable coffee makers were sold at Walmart and some small retail stores around the country from April 2008 through July for $50-$65. They carry the model number TCM1000IKT on a plate on the bottom of the machine.

The CPSC said it has received one report of a coffee maker melting.
