This is really just a story about simple thievery, but the details are just too good not to share. It seems that the employees of a Circuit City store in North Carolina simply watched a $2300 television walk out the door.

What's even more amazing, as related by the article at SalsburyPost.com, is that one well meaning CC employee even offered to assist the thieves in fastening the heisted television to the top of their car. Unfortunately, the crooks departed before the employee could fully assist them.

It wasn't until the car had been observed to leave the store parking lot, in a blaze of unpaid shopping glory, that the manager of the Circuit City store in question determined that none of his underlings had taken any cha-ching in exchange for the now liberated electronic entertainment appliance.

So, if you're in the neighborhood, and you happen to see two guys with really big grins and a 67-inch Samsung television riding on the roof of their nondescript, red, four-door sedan, hop on over to the closest Circuit City store, and find out if they're still giving away any of those free ones.
