on-the-go, but Walgreens (NYSE: WAG) (NASDAQ: WAG) is making it even
quicker and easier through an exclusive new offering with foursquare
which launched today. Customers who check-in at any Walgreens store

instantly receive a unique scannable coupon via their smartphone that is
redeemable in the store, with no texting, reply or other steps required.

coupon program through foursquare, building on its popularity as the
retailer with the largest foursquare following in the U.S. The first
coupon offering, available now through March 10, is for 50 percent off
all varieties of AriZona Iced Tea cans.

us and to deliver products, services and savings they truly value,” said
Sona Chawla, Walgreens president of E-commerce. “Foursquare shares our
commitment to innovation and together we’ve developed some unique,
breakthrough offerings that cater to today’s tech-savvy consumers. With
this program, it’s just check in and the coupon is displayed instantly.”
There is a limit of one coupon per customer, future coupon offers will
be announced at a later date. Standard data and messaging rate apply.
"Walgreens has been an innovative partner on the foursquare platform and
this is a perfect opportunity to test our new functionality," said Eric
Friedman, director of business development for foursquare. "We are
excited that Walgreens is the first to test unique codes in a foursquare
Special, providing a seamless experience for customers."
AriZona joins Walgreens and foursquare to further connect with its fans
through social media, while highlighting its national reach as the
number one ready-to-drink tea in America.
