FRANKFURT, Germany -Business software maker SAP AG says net income rose 10 percent in the first quarter and cited strong sales momentum for its high-speed HANA data platform and cloud-computing acquisition SuccessFactors.
Walldorf-based SAP said Wednesday it made (EURO)444 million ($586.35 million), compared to (EURO)403 billion in the same quarter a year earlier. Total revenue rose 11 percent to (EURO)3.350 billion.
It said SuccessFactors, which the company bought in February, showed a strong increase in billings from new business in the quarter. HANA lets companies quickly analyze large amounts of information.
The company said it recorded double-digit software revenue growth for the ninth quarter in a row.
