Frontier Airlines today announced it will extend its seasonal nonstop service between Kansas City International Airport (MCI) and Cancún International Airport (CUN) through Aug. 28, 2010, the first time the airline has offered summer nonstop service on the route. Frontier will operate two weekly flights on Saturday and Sunday, April 19 - May 2, 2010. Beginning May 3, the carrier will operate one Saturday flight through Aug. 28, 2010.
“The response to our nonstop service to Cancún has been tremendous,” said Daniel Shurz, VP of planning and strategy. “Extending our service over the summer now provides the Kansas City community with greater access to their favorite Mexican vacation destination. As the only carrier offering nonstop service between Kansas City and Cancún, we couldn’t be more pleased with the opportunity to extend the service through the popular summer travel season. And our summer schedule in this market allows connections in both directions between Milwaukee and Cancún giving even more customers the chance to get away for the summer.”
