NEW YORK -Shares of some top oil companies were up at the close of trading:
BP PLC rose $.31 or .8 percent, to $38.23.
Chevron rose $1.06 or 1.1 percent, to $100.06.
ConocoPhillips rose $.05 or .1 percent, to $52.14.
Exxon Mobil Corp. rose $.57 or .7 percent, to $82.61.
Marathon Oil Corp. rose $.36 or 1.5 percent, to $24.88.
