Build up a financial fund so you can pull out all the stops and spend a big wad of cash on the year-end holidays???? Really???

Somehow, this writer thinks this qualifies as a "responsible financial choice".

The traditional American Christmas season celebration is a spending binge of epic proportions. What we need are ways to simplify this and ways to detach from the year-end spend-a-thon --- not advice on how to squirrel up more cash to keep the over-the-top holiday spending spree going.
