Freeze bottles of water at night, and then put same in front of the fan during the day... or do as I did, buy a house with a swimming pool..

Did almost all of these when I was a kid. No ac in the house. Still hot though.

Remember a fan only pushes the air behind it faster. If it's hot,, it pushes hot air. The reason it feels cooler is humans perspire. The faster airflow increases evaporation of sweat making you feel cooler.

even when it is over 100 I never use air conditioning. screens on windows and doors combined with a couple fans works well for me.
