Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia said Thursday it settled a lawsuit with retailer Macy's over a home products deal with J.C. Penney.

Martha Stewart didn't disclose the terms of the settlement, but said the deal wouldn't be material to the company.

Macy's (M) sued Martha Stewart (MSO) and J.C. Penney (JCP) last year after the two announced a partnership in 2011 to open Martha Stewart home shops at hundreds of J.C. Penney stores.

Macy's claims exclusive rights to Martha Stewart cookware,
bedding and bath products under a 2006 deal.

The retailer sued Martha Stewart for breach of contract and J.C. Penney for interfering with its agreement with Martha Stewart. Both lawsuits were combined last year.

Macy's also sought to stop Penney from selling any products designed by home improvement doyenne Martha Stewart even if her name doesn't appear on the items or their marketing.

Macy's said in a separate statement that the settlement didn't affect its outstanding claim against J.C. Penney.

J.C. Penney and Martha Stewart revised their agreement in October eliminating Stewart's products in home goods categories to which Macy's claims exclusive rights.

she had a conviction which I think was politically movitated consider the type of thing that went on during the bush administration and is still going on now, where big shots sit on many boards at once and can do inside trading and every other violation without going to jail

The conviction came exactly a week after U.S. District Judge Miriam Goldman Cedarbaum threw out the most serious charge against Stewart -- securities fraud -- which carried a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and a $1 million fine.

The charge -- which the judge had called "novel" during the trial -- accused Stewart of using her own statements that she was innocent as a ploy to mislead investors in her company, Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia.

Martha was taken down by Eliot Spitzer "The Sheriff of Wall Street. He targetd all of the corrupt Greeder's and it set an example when he busted Martha. We need Eliot back.

Martha Stewart convicted of insider trading, also sleeping with her daughters boyfriend among other things. How can anyone have any respect for her?

You believe to much of what you read and still get the facts wrong, Stewart wasn't convicted of insider trading and the allegations of her sleeping with her daughters boyfriend are founded, you might want to do some research before sitting in front of a keyboard

She was convicted...not of insider trading, but of lying to investigators. Your second statement of allegations of sleeping with the daughters boyfriend.....Did you perhaps mean \"un\" founded???? I never heard that story, but the fact you are accusing someone else of needing to be more informed and then go one to agree with a fact they stated is somewhat confusing.

Martha Stewart sheets are cheap with great sounding contents. 350 count sheets, if they aren't long staple good quality, are worse than 200 count of the better quality material. The pans aren't worth "her name brand", her decorations look fine but are overpriced if you know how to do anything. Macy's is on the list of poorly paid employees so I'd rather shop elsewhere.

I think Martha is an amazing busineswoman. She has a passion for the deal. Sounds like her law team didn't think this one out... can't play on too many teams without being smacked down. But I appreciate her taste and her incredible career. Truly an alpha person, many people who complain wouldn't do the same to a male. just sayin'!

Not true, Richelle. Her company has been in the red most of its existence. Were she male OR female, she'd be fired but she has rigged the voting stock in her favor. Look at a graph of the stock price-- it's a bust!
