But how do you get ahead if you're living paycheck to paycheck? The fact is, no matter how much you earn you could be creating your own barriers to financial success without even knowing it. how about you are getting robbed by the gov\'t in the form of taxes to pay for a bloated military, people who get $$$ from the gov\'t, subsidies to huge corporations and farmers and fraud in the medicaid and medicare bureaucracies-to name just a few places that swallow up $$ like there is no tomorrow.

If you think a bloated military is the problem, you are very naive. The estimated cost of tax breaks for religions is in the area of $100B. Ask youself why you should be paying for the other guys fantasies when even the constitution bans such idiocy?

Read "The Richest Man in Babylon" and live within your means. It really is that simple. The road to riches is paved with some good knowledge and the ability to avoid obvious pitfalls.

I think I will just pay the fine. I am disabled,so my wife is our only income. She only makes 20,000.00 a yaer,so we do not think the fine will be that high....

Is this really a great revelation to anyone? It would appear to be pretty much of a no-brainer that if you consistently live beyond your means you will remain financially vulnerable for all your life. Also those who want and acquire more than they can afford will invariably hit on their family and friends (those who do not live beyond their means) to bail them out. While I'm not thrilled with what the government is doing......this is a matter of personal habits and hanging it on government is just a way of not facing responsibility for personal decisions.
