Natural gas utility Southwest Gas announced today its fourth-quarter dividend of $0.33 per share, the same rate it's paid for the past two quarters after raising the payout 12% from $0.295 per share.

The board of directors said the quarterly dividend is payable on December 2 to holders of record at the close of business on November 15. The utility has paid quarterly dividends continuously since going public in 1956.

The regular dividend payment equates to a $1.32-per-share annual dividend, yielding 2.8% based on the closing price today of Southwest Gas's stock.
