Digital Insurance 2013 Road Race Breaks Its Record, Raising $45,000 for Children's Healthcare of Atlanta
Company Contributes $175,000 to Not-For-Profit Organization Over Last Five Years
ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Digital Insurance (www.digitalinsurance.com), the nation's largest and most technologically advanced employee benefits-only agency, generated a record-breaking $45,000 charitable contribution for Children's Healthcare of Atlanta (www.choa.org) from its fifth annual DI Dash road race on August 24. Since the event's inception, the Atlanta-based company has raised $175,000 for the healthcare system.
"We know there's more to life than the mad dash associated with getting the job done. More than 500 people -- including many repeat DI Dash runners -- registered for the family friendly event, a certified, chip-timed Peachtree Road Race qualifier that began and ended in Marietta Square. In addition to the runners, which numbered more than the participants in the previous two years, there was tremendous volunteer and corporate support for the fundraiser.
Title sponsor UnitedHealthcare was joined by Platinum sponsors Aetna, Guardian, SunLife, CUNA and Lincoln Financial, as well as Diamond sponsors UNUM, TransAmerica and Morris, Manning & Martin. Gold sponsors included Berman, Fink & Van Horn, firstPRO, Humana, Standard, MetLife and Plansource. Contributing sponsors were Whole Foods, H&W Printing, Hire Dynamics and Atlanta Galleria.
