OMVS Opens Talks With Potential Air Charter Acquisition
TAMPA, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- As part of its mission to provide niche transportation options to online customers, On the Move Systems Corp. (OTCBB: OMVS) met last week with a charter airline service that the company has targeted for potential partnership or acquisition.
For more than a decade, the Texas-based carrier has specialized in same-day passenger and air cargo service, helping clients to avoid the high prices, boarding hassles and unreliable scheduling associated with the big airlines. As demand for private air service grows, a partnership or acquisition in the space could prove to be a major milestone in OMVS' aggressive plans to revolutionize commercial travel and transportation booking in the U.S.
Development has already begun on the company's new online transportation portal, designed to deliver more travel options to business and consumers than ever before. OMVS recently signed a development partnership agreement with ByterDyne, an architect of scalable, custom software solutions across the energy, transportation/logistics and e-commerce industries.
Together, the OMVS and ByterDyne are working to deliver a new innovation known as the ISTx platform, the digital heart of an online portal designed to connect users with discounted transportation options from charter jet service to luxury ground shuttles and beyond. Acquiring a private airline with a charter license to pair with its groundbreaking ISTx software platform would make OMVS unique in the $300 billion online travel industry.
OMVS is working to market and develop new solutions that will allow it to compete in the online travel market alongside Priceline.com (OTCBB: PCLN), TripAdvisor.com (OTCBB: TRIP) and Expedia.com (OTCBB: EXPE).
