American Software is effectively keeping its dividend steady. The company has declared a quarterly disbursement of $0.10 per share of both its Class A and B common stock, to be paid on or about December 9 to shareholders of record as of November 15. That amount matches the firm's previous three distributions, all of which were paid at once last December. Two out of those three were dispensed as "accelerated" dividends. Normally, they would have been declared this past February and May.

Prior to that trio, the company paid $0.09 per share.

The just-declared dividend annualizes to $0.40 per share. That yields 4.8% at American Software's most recent closing stock price of $8.27.
