Office Depot Honored for Outstanding Product Quality and Service by David Weekley Homes
Eighth Consecutive Year as Coveted "Partners of Choice" Award Recipient
BOCA RATON, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Office Depot, Inc. (NYS: ODP) , a leading global provider of office supplies and services, was recently honored with the highly coveted "Partners of Choice Award" from David Weekley Homes, the largest privately-held home builder in America. This is the eighth consecutive year that Office Depot has received the esteemed award.
The "Partners of Choice Award" is part of David Weekley Homes' comprehensive evaluation platform, a rigorous, end-to-end process designed to make both the homebuilder and its suppliers operate at world-class levels. The award is presented to companies that receive the highest marks from approximately 600 David Weekley Homes team members from all levels of the organization. Office Depot is one of only sixteen suppliers receiving the prestigious award for achieving the highest marks in both quality and service.
"This honor is a testament to the relationships we foster with our customers while providing them with first-class products and services," said Steve Calkins, Senior Vice President of Office Depot's Business Solutions Division. "We continuously strive to provide the best customer service to our partners, and we're honored to receive this award from David Weekley Homes for the eighth year in a row."
Bill Justus, Vice President of Supply Chain Services for David Weekley Homes, implemented the supplier evaluation program in 2004 in order to assist the homebuilder in its purpose of Building Dreams, Enhancing Lives. Since that time, the program has grown to be both well-known and respected in the homebuilding industry.
"Our interactive feedback platform is a practical way for measuring world-class excellence,"' said Justus. "The length, breadth, and rigor that each partner faces when participating in our process make it impossible for them to simply talk their way to good results. Our friends at Office Depot have responded by winning our award for eight consecutive years, and our highest award for the fifth straight year. As evidenced by the ratings of approximately 600 of our team members, Office Depot has proven themselves world-class in delivering quality and service to David Weekley Homes."
Office Depot has been providing office supplies and services to David Weekley Homes since 2002.
