CAMDEN, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- For the first time in over twenty years, Campbell Soup Company (NYS: CPB) is announcing a twist on a classic favorite with the newest flavor debut in the SpaghettiOs®line-up: CheeseburgerOsTM. The famous O-shaped pasta, along with its memorable "Uh Oh, SpaghettiOs" slogan, will now include another American favorite, cheeseburgers.

The classic cheeseburger consistently ranks as one of America's favorite foods. With all the cheesy, meaty deliciousness of a real burger, CheeseburgerOs brings a flavor kids love to the SpaghettiOs lineup and gives mom a convenient new way to keep her kids happy at mealtime.
"SpaghettiOs has been a kid favorite in homes for nearly 50 years, and the adults who enjoyed it years ago are now serving them to their own kids and grandkids," says Ed Carolan, General Manager, Soup & Simple Meals at Campbell Soup Company. "Just like the original, the new CheeseburgerOs offering stays true to our roots, providing a wholesome kid-pleasing main dish that mom can feel good about serving to her family."
A hit from the start, SpaghettiOs continues to see success today with more than 120 million cans consumed just last year. The new CheeseburgerOs is only the third time in nearly 50 years the SpaghettiOs brand has introduced a new flavor. Previous variations include PizzOsTM and CheesOsTM, which were seen on shelves in the 1980s. Each 15-ounce can is packed with pasta, an estimated 750 "O's" per can, in a delicious cheeseburger-flavored meat sauce. And, each serving of these tender little O's provides a full serving of vegetables, essential vitamins and minerals and is low in fat.

SpaghettiOs originalflavor was launched in May of 1965, introducing the world's first spoonable spaghetti to moms across America. Shortly after, the brand branched out to include sliced franks and meatballs mixed in with the circular pasta and tomato sauce recipe. By 1992, Campbell made the decision to expand beyond the classic circle "O"s for which the product was named and rolled out a series of shaped pasta SpaghettiOs including Where's WaldOsTM. Today, various shaped SpaghettiOs are still found on shelves alongside the original SpaghettiOs flavor.
