Turns out that people are just about as likely to overestimate their financial savviness as they are their good looks.

A new survey by the FINRA Investor Education Foundation found that 75% of U.S. adults say they're pros at managing their finances, but only 14% could ace a five-question quiz on basic financial concepts, and only 25% more managed to score four out of five.

This was no small study sample size either. A whopping 25,000 consumers took the quiz. Think you can do a better job? Take the FINRA quiz below.

George W. Bush spent at least $20 million taxpayer dollars just on flights to his ranch in Crawford.

==========================

The Obama 2012 holiday vacation 7 million. Michelle Obama summer vacation 10 million
That's 17 million right there. Now add up all the other Obama vacations and they have Bush beat by a landslide.

Simple "Personal Finance" Quiz? Really? Four of the questions are simple but the relationship between bond prices and short term interest rates is not something that impacts most peoples' budgets. The ordinary Joe who does invest in bonds (because someone told him he needs to balance his portfolio) does not typically buy individual bonds. He buys into a bond mutual fund. So he has no reason to know this.

Actually all one has to is is tune a finance channel on the tee vee once in a while instead of watching re-runs of "I love Lucy" I aced the quiz because I make it my business to know where my meager savings are going.

I aced it!!! Only the dumbest can't figure it out. Try teaching basicis in schools then maybe they could actually answer the questions.

Yep. I aced it too. I agree with your comment. Criminals are dumb about crime. The rest is dumb about finances.

perhaps the 86% would rather enjoy and appreciate the simpler things in life than $$?...OR...are tired of the 14% who aggregate most of the wealth...and...upon beginning to lose it (2008/9)...re-write the rules so they can hang on to it? kinda takes the fun out of "free market capitalism"...no?

I wonder how *many millions the tax payers will have to shell out this year for the Obama family vacations.

Obama has the nerve to say hes concerned about IRS lavish spending. He needs to look in his own back yard and his wife's lavish spending.

So Obama spends no money of his own on vacations. Bush holds the record for taking the most vacations he spent more time at his ranch than he did in the white house.
