Books-A-Million Tornado Relief Campaign Raises over $86,000 for the Salvation Army

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Books-A-Million, Inc. (Nasdaq/NM: BAMM) today announced that it has collected over $86,000 in donations to support The Salvation Army's tornado relief efforts in Moore, Oklahoma after an EF-5 tornado killed 24 people and injured 377 in the Oklahoma City suburb on Monday, May 20, 2013.

During the past two weeks, customers made donations at all Books-A-Million's 253 locations as well as through the company's website at www.booksamillion.com.

For the past eight years, Books-A-Million customers and associates have supported The Salvation Army's efforts donating close to $1.5 million through holiday drives and in the aftermath of natural disasters throughout the United States and the world.
