If Heckmann changing its name wasn't confusing enough for investors, it appears as though Nuverra Environmental Solutions will be venturing into a new business. The company just purchased a greenfield disposal facility that it will use for solid and oil waste from drilling operations. While the potential revenue for the company doesn't really move the needle for the company, the move is more important for the new image that Nuverra wants to reflect to its customers.
Nuverra wants to be the one-stop shop for any waste-related business in the oil and gas industry, and this move is a step in that direction.
