Company Announces Tuition Freedom Sweepstakes, Grand Prize Winner to Receive up to $120,000 to Cover College Tuition Costs

NEW HAVEN, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Higher One, a leader in providing service solutions to higher education administrators and students at more than 1,600 campuses across the U.S., has announced its Tuition Freedom Sweepstakes, which will award one student up to $120,000 to cover the cost of college tuition. The sweepstakes provides the winning student the opportunity to graduate college without the burden of student loans.

"Higher One's Tuition Freedom Sweepstakes will positively change the life of one lucky student," said Miles Lasater, president and co-founder of Higher One. "As the national conversation brings attention to the issue of rising college costs and growing student debt, we work every day to help our university clients more effectively change the lives of millions of students."

May traditionally marks the time when students finalize their college plans, in part based on their financial aid packages and student loan offerings. According to Mary Johnson, Director of Financial Literacy and Student Aid Policy at Higher One, this year also offers a new opportunity—a chance to live without student loan debt.

"The recently released report, Money Matters on Campus, found that 72 percent of incoming college students worry about money and student loan debt," said Johnson. "At Higher One, we identified this sweepstakes as an opportunity to provide peace of mind to one student to graduate without the burden of tuition debt."

The sweepstakes entry period is open through July 31, 2013, to all full- or part-time undergraduate students at a two- or four-year accredited college or university in the U.S., as well as to students who have completed undergraduate studies within the past six months. Official sweepstakes rules and entry form are available at www.tuitionfreedom.com.

In addition to the grand prize, students have the chance to win daily prizes including gift cards, mini tablets or e-readers. Students are encouraged to enter the sweepstakes daily by visiting www.tuitionfreedom.com as well as review the ways possible to receive additional entries.

The Tuition Freedom Sweepstakes campaign is designed, developed, and managed by teamDigital Promotions, Bethel, CT; and administration is handled by Project Support Team, Inc.
