EPS came in at $0.79. The 24 earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ averaged $0.82 per share. Non-GAAP EPS of $0.79 for Q1 were 33% lower than the prior-year quarter's $1.18 per share. GAAP EPS of $0.74 for Q1 were 37% lower than the prior-year quarter's $1.18 per share.

Margin details
For the quarter, gross margin was 53.6%, much better than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 13.5%, 300 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 4.1%, 230 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. (Margins calculated in GAAP terms.)

Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $9.49 billion. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.78.
