"The Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle 8K is a Chicago tradition that is circled on the calendars of runners of all levels, from Olympians to first-timers," said Executive Race Director Carey Pinkowski. "To have 40,000 people united in celebrating spring on the streets of Chicago is incredible. You can feel the energy and excitement building throughout the city for what should prove to be a great year of running and racing."

"Year after year, the popularity of the Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle continues to grow as more and more people anticipate the jumpstart of the Chicago outdoor running season," said Tim Maloney, Illinois president, Bank of America. "The Shuffle truly is an iconic Chicago event with more than 90 percent of the participants hailing from the city and suburbs, making for a great yearly tradition not only for fitness enthusiasts but also their families, friends and neighbors. This is just one of the many ways in which we demonstrate Bank of America's continued commitment to the communities we serve."
