Home Inns & Hotels Management (NAS: HMIN) reported earnings on March 11. Here are the numbers you need to know.

For the quarter ended Dec. 31 (Q4), Home Inns & Hotels Management beat expectations on revenues and missed estimates on earnings per share.
Compared to the prior-year quarter, revenue grew significantly. Non-GAAP earnings per share increased significantly. GAAP earnings per share didn't change.

EPS came in at $0.14. The three earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ predicted $0.15 per share. Non-GAAP EPS of $0.14 for Q4 were 17% higher than the prior-year quarter's $0.12 per share. GAAP EPS of $0.02 were the same as the prior-year quarter.

For the quarter, gross margin was 28.3%, 90 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 2.5%, 50 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 0.4%, 210 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. (Margins calculated in GAAP terms.)
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $220.7 million. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is -$0.03.
Next year's average estimate for revenue is $1.04 billion. The average EPS estimate is $1.20.
