Accuride Catches Analysts Sleeping Again

Accuride (NYS: ACW) reported earnings on March 6. Here are the numbers you need to know.

For the quarter ended Dec. 31 (Q4), Accuride beat expectations on revenues and missed expectations on earnings per share.
Compared to the prior-year quarter, revenue shrank significantly. Non-GAAP earnings per share contracted to a loss. GAAP earnings per share shrank to a loss.
Margins shrank across the board.

EPS came in at -$0.47. The four earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ anticipated -$0.40 per share. Non-GAAP EPS were -$0.47 for Q4 compared to $0.11 per share for the prior-year quarter. GAAP EPS were -$3.30 for Q4 compared to $0.09 per share for the prior-year quarter.

For the quarter, gross margin was -2.4%, much worse than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was -9.5%, much worse than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was -88.8%, much worse than the prior-year quarter.
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $198.1 million. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is -$0.23.
Next year's average estimate for revenue is $842.0 million. The average EPS estimate is -$0.33.
